State Representative Kay Hatcher is once again hosting a 50th District Senior Spelling Bee to test local seniors’ spelling skills. The event will be Friday, July 27th in Sugar Grove, just prior to the community’s famous Corn Boil opening ceremonies.

“Kids aren’t the only ones who should be able to show off their spelling talents,” said Representative Hatcher. “This is the third spelling bee I’ve hosted, and each one gets more competitive. Fox Valley seniors are invited to learn more about how to protect themselves from scams and identity theft at a pair of events, one in Kendall County and one in Kane County, hosted by State Representative Kay Hatcher.

The Senior Protection Seminars will both be held on April 10th:

• 9:30 am, Yorkville Senior Center, 908 Game Farm Road in Yorkville.
• 1:00 pm, Lions Park, 500 S. Filmore Street in Elburn.
